waving flags
For a full year, I managed to do a coloured pencil drawing every day. Now I am hoping to display all of these drawings, as a festival of flags, strung high above the viewer in an interior space. This concept is roughly sketched using the City of O'Fallon Missouri's Renaud Spirit Center as a proposed installation site. The 6x6 inch double-sided canvas flags would be strung on nylon monofilament fishing line and attached to the ceiling rafters and duct work. I'm currently looking for an affordable way to print 366 unique drawings on to 366 pieces of canvas (each image would be printed, double-sided, on to a single canvas piece). If anyone has any connections or ideas about where to get this print job done, please leave me a comment.

extinct bird discovered!
The newly discovered extinct bird scientists are calling "Fisch-Liebhaber" have not yet been photographed. Here is what I believe our newfound feathered friend looks like.

Saint Louis
Standing under the Saint Louis statue in Forest Park, I witnessed a group of ladies approach on segues. As they circled the statue, one of them commented, "It's a shame they don't have the name of this guy on it. I wonder who he is?" In big bold letters engraved right above my head are the words: Saint Louis. I stared at them and smiled, but didn't say anything.

French Drain
Along the west side of my house, a white PVC pipe was set in a trench at a slow pitch that is connected to a four inch black corrugated pipe buried under the front yard and sidewalk finally to emerge as a drain into the street. The pipes were wrapped with a water penetrable "sock" which will accept the water, but filter out debris, dirt, or silt. My roof drain downspouts were connected to the drain. Meramec River rock was used as a back fill for the length of the house, but dirt and grass were applied to the front yard portion. The excess dirt was hauled away.
