Fall is such an inspirational time for this abstract painter. Here are some photos of leaves I picked up on my way home from work today. There are beautiful abstractions all around me. This is the way I see the world...

 

My second show in 2 months is now hanging at Café Nura in Webter Groves all October.  This is brand new work created just this year.  Come and check it out and enjoy really great beverages and food.

This show is currently on display at the Mystery Church on Main street just north of the area that received tornado damage this past summer. For Joplin, I selected works that were mostly uplifting and life affirming from my 366 daily drawing project, Trudger. A few also speak of safety and security. If you make it to Joplin this year to help volunteer for clean-up, make sure you check out the art shows on display near the center of town, enjoy a cup of coffee, (or an Instant Karma hot dog) and help support the community in any way you can.  

From the audio diary that I keep called "Silent Skies," I made this entry on my 18'th cassette tape on September 11'th, 2001. At the time, I thought I was just creating a sound expression of that terrifying day. Listening back on it now, I realize I was trying to release and articulate all the emotions and thoughts swirling around inside. Whenever words fail to do it, I often pick up the guitar and try to work it out through sound. Here it is un-cut... all 11 minutes and 48 seconds.

Monday seemed like a good day to start the final 3 for "Circles."  The basement is nice and cool... a good incentive to be down stairs painting!
